The force is strong in Bristol as the Peng Sound operation surface in style with a second release helmed by Young Echo member Ishan Sound. Arriving roughly a year after the debut, hand stamped release from Gorgon Sound and Dubkasm, the dedication to soundsystem culture and bassweight has very much been maintained on Clash Of The Titans. Soundsystem veteran Ras Addis looms large, his portrait adorning the cover and his voice offering some commanding, authoritative words on justice and equality atop the unforgiving rhythmic work of Ishan Sound. Dubkasm maintain their Peng Sound 100% appearance record with a B Side re/version that coats proceedings in a tough digidub sheen. Lovingly mastered via 1/2inch tape, pressed onto hand-stamped, heavyweight 180g vinyl and presented in a hand numbered special edition of 500 printed sleeves designed by Tape-Echo.

Premier gros collectif, composé de 12 membres et chapeauté par le Brigadier Fantôme, La Brigade, fait parler d'elle avec un double maxi "Noir" et "Blanc" qui invite le groupe Lunatic sur "16 Rimes", nous sommes en 97/98. Les nombreux membres du groupe insufflent une énergie différente selon qui pose et comment. Présent sur des projets indépendants (Mafia Trece) comme capable de faire du bruit sur des compilations ("Première Classe"), ils signeront en major pour leur 1er album, "Le Testament". Succès, diffusions radio, le groupe s'éparpille un peu et ses rappeurs avancent en solo. Conscients et engagés, malgré parfois des refrains légers, La Brigade compte parmi les valeurs sûres du Rap Fr.
