This compilation is dedicated to the memory of the late great “Prince” Philip Smart - the first apprentice of King Tubby and the first engineer at Tubby’s studio besides Tubby himself. Alongside Tubby, Philip was integral to the innovation that took place at Tubby’s studio in the mid 1970s, where the mixing of new roots reggae revolutionized the sound of Jamaican music and created styles and techniques that are still being echoed today, nearly 50 years later.

S'il ne fera jamais d'album avec son groupe il sera malgré tout sur des projets comme le "Beat de Boul - Dans La Sono", mais aussi tous les albums de Booba jusqu'en 2012! Toujours présent mais rarement mis en avant, après sa mixtape "Ma Zone" il sortira un album important, "Himalaya", en 2009 en collaboration avec Marc Animalsons. Succès d'estime mais ventes moyennes, le rappeur prouve qu'il existe dans ce mouvement et précédera la vague de l'auto-tune, qui ne s'arrêtera pas. Toujours présent pour des feats, le rappeur est discret, mais a pu rappé avec Moon'a, Djé,...
